In the realm of Indian cinema, stories of unsung heroes often remain buried beneath the sands of time. Costao, a 2025 Hindi-language biographical crime drama, seeks to unearth one such tale—the gripping journey of Costao Fernandes, a resolute customs officer from 1990s Goa who dared to challenge a powerful gold smuggling syndicate.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui delivers a compelling performance as Fernandes, capturing the officer's unwavering integrity and internal turmoil.  Priya Bapat portrays Maria Fernandes, Costao's supportive yet strained wife, adding emotional depth to the narrative.  The ensemble cast includes Kishore Kumar G as the antagonist D'Mello, Hussain Dalal as Peter D’Mello, and Shravan Fondekar as the informer who sets the plot in motion.
